Vizio Internet Apps have been introduced and branded during the super bowl – and have even hired a celebrity face to throw the Vizio systems, apps and televisions into the lime light, Vizio have also made a deal with BlockBuster the number one video/movie rental in the USA, and throw in the USA’s number one HDTV manufacturer also … now you get a better picture of things to come.
Dave Habiger, is the CEO of Sonic Solutions and has announced that Vizio could soon be streaming (on TV’s) blockbuster movies and as soon as Spring (in the USA. Dave Habiger owns Roxio Software that currently streams Blockbuster.
Vizio has not officially launched a date of release of TV’s capable of Blockbuster streaming – but did confirm the deal.
The Blockbuster videos will be streamed through Vizio Apps, Vizio Apps currently feature Showtime, Netflix, blip.tv, Revision3, CBS, CNBC, iMemories, Free Stream Media, NBC and The Weather Channel.
Beyonce Knowles was the celebrity that gave Vizio the plug during the advert that was shown during the super bowl.
